Privacy Policy

This page explains what SpellBee.us actually collects and why. If you're just here to play Spelling Bee Daily or Spelling Bee Unlimited, the short version is: no account, no personal data required, and your puzzle progress mostly lives in your own browser.

You Don't Need an Account to Play

Nothing on this site requires a sign-up, a login, or a name. Both Spelling Bee Daily and Spelling Bee Unlimited work fully in your browser, and your saved games, scores, and rank history are stored locally in your browser rather than tied to a personal profile.

Analytics: What's Actually Used

This site uses Google Analytics to understand general traffic patterns, things like which pages get visited and roughly how people move through the site. That means some standard, non-identifying technical data (browser type, device type, approximate location, and interaction patterns) is shared with Google as part of that service. This is a genuinely common setup for free websites, but it's worth being upfront about it rather than claiming "nothing is shared with third parties," since an analytics tool is technically a third party by definition.

  • Google Analytics tracks aggregate site usage, not individual identities
  • No names, emails, or account data are collected through gameplay
  • You can block this with a standard browser ad blocker or privacy extension if you prefer

Cookies and Local Storage

Puzzle progress, saved games, and preferences like sound settings are generally kept in your browser's local storage rather than a server-side account, which is why puzzles work offline once loaded. Google Analytics may also set its own cookies for the traffic-measurement purpose described above.

  • Saved games and scores stay in your own browser, not a personal account
  • Clearing your browser data will reset saved puzzle progress
  • Analytics cookies can be disabled independently through your browser settings

What We Don't Do

We don't ask for your email, name, or any personal identifier to play a puzzle. We don't sell user data, and we don't run third-party advertising trackers beyond the standard analytics setup described above. If that ever changes, this page will be updated to reflect it honestly rather than left as-is.

If You Contact Us

If you email contact@spellbee.us, that message and your email address are used only to respond to you, not added to a mailing list or shared elsewhere.

About SpellBee.us

Building better spelling bee puzzles every day

SpellBee.us is built for players who want fair, challenging, and genuinely enjoyable word puzzles, not recycled word lists. Every daily puzzle is hand-checked before it goes live, and Unlimited Mode is built for players who want to keep going beyond the daily challenge, with no artificial caps on how much you can play.

Umair Nisar, Puzzle Designer at SpellBee.us

Umair Nisar

Puzzle Designer & Word List Curator of SpellBee.us

I'm Umair Nisar, and I design and maintain every puzzle on SpellBee.us by hand. Every word in every list is cross-checked against Merriam-Webster before publishing, no auto-generated word lists, no unverified entries. Each puzzle is guaranteed to contain at least one pangram, and I test every grid myself before it goes live to confirm it's solvable and fair. Unlimited Mode is built to save up to 50 active games at once, so you can jump between puzzles without losing progress. If you spot a missing word, a bug, or a puzzle that doesn't feel right, email me directly, I read and respond to every message myself.
