SpellBee.us is an independently built spelling puzzle inspired by the honeycomb word-game format popularized by the New York Times Spelling Bee. It is not produced, endorsed, sponsored by, or affiliated with The New York Times Company in any way. Any resemblance in gameplay format reflects a widely used public puzzle style, not an official connection.
Built for Practice, Not Certified Instruction
This site exists to make vocabulary and spelling practice enjoyable, not to serve as a certified educational curriculum or an official spelling authority. It's a good way to build word recognition and pattern awareness through repetition, but it shouldn't be treated as a substitute for structured classroom instruction or professional exam-prep materials where those matter more formally.
Word Validity Isn't Guaranteed to Be Exhaustive
Every word list is checked against Merriam-Webster before publishing, and puzzles are hand-tested, but no dictionary-based word game can guarantee every valid English word is included, or that every excluded word was excluded correctly. If a word you believe is valid gets rejected, or an accepted word seems wrong, you're welcome to report it, but the puzzle's word list should be treated as a best effort, not an absolute authority on the English language.
